Instead of celebrating just Christmas alone, Zanovia, Zadduis and their friends wanted to embrace their moorish culture and decided to celebrate Christmas and Kwanzaa. They decided to call it Kwanza-Mas with includes a mixture of both christmas and Kwanzaa tradition (I made that up)! With Zanovia and Zadduis's wedding coming up, it was it was such a relief for them to be able to relax and spend the holidays with the people who loved and supported them throughout the year.
Here's the latest w/ Zadduis and Zanovia's story!
"I am so excited about the holidays." Zadduis confessed as he brought in the refreshments for the party. Although he was bonefide drug lord, he was excited about the holidays this year. Unlike most years, now, thanks to Zanovia he had friends and family to celebrate with.
"I am too sweetheart." Zanovia said, putting in her earrings. Zanovia was excited about the holidays for other reasons. For the last 6 months, her and Zadduis had been working endlessly to save enough money to have the wedding of their dreams. She hadn't seen any of her friends (except Meeka, who didn't let one day pass without coming to bang on her front door)!
Just then, the doorbell rang. One by one, Meeka, Meek, Capone and Amaraza came sweet gifts and food to eat!
"So, bestie! The wedding is tomorrow! How do you feel?" Meeka asked Zanovia, grinning from ear to ear.
"Yeah." Capone joined in, "Are ya'll ready to jump to broom?" He asked.
"Absolutely." Zadduis answered before Zanovia could even respond! He was so excited that he was bursting. "I've been ready to make this woman Mrs. Zanovia Savage since the moment that I slid that ring on her finger." He professed as he reached under the table and squeezed Zanovia's hand. His response made Zanovia blush and the entire room gush at their love.
Capone, who had been Zadduis's good friend and plug for years still found himself shocked that his homeboy had fallen in love. At first, Capone thought that Zadduis and Zanovia was a fluke, but after hearing that his boy proposed, he knew that he was serious. And from the look in Zadduis's eyes when he looked at Zanovia right now, his feelings for her would never fade.
"Aaw, baby. You are sweet." Zanovia smiled as she wiggled in her chair. She loved it when Zadduis spoke to her like that.
"You two are so cute!" Meeka said, gleefully. The entire room agreed. She was so happy for her best friend.
The group of friends spent the rest of the evening eating good food, decorating the tree, playing games, laughing and enjoying their Kwanza-mas while anticipating the big wedding festivities that would take place tomorrow!
No one was more excited than Zanovia and Zadduis. It was almost 11PM when the last guest left.
"Whoooh! I'm tired." Zanovia said, plopping down on the sofa.
"Another succesful get-together, accomplished!" Zadduis said. "You did a really good job decorating, babe."
"Thank you baby." Zanovia replied, pulling her shoes from her feet.
"But... I think we forgot something." Zadduis said.
"What?" Zanovia replied, worried.
Zadduis pulled a mistletoe from his jacket and said. "We forgot to kiss under the mistle-toe.
Zanovia smiled and the two shared the very last kiss they would have before they were husband & wife!
